Leicester title would trump golden boot

The way we´re going at the moment there´s no reason why we can´t win the league. There´s still a long way to go and anything can happen in football but we´ve got a ten point lead and it´s in our own hands from here. We´ve only lost twice all season which is a great record but we need to keep it up.

I get asked a fair bit about the golden boot as well but to me it´s very much a secondary thing. If I was to be top-scorer at the end of the season that would be great but Leicester´s promotion is what really matters. It´s between me and Rickie Lambert at Bristol Rovers in the scoring stakes at the moment; we´ve both got 20 goals so far.

I saw in the news that Rickie might have a hip problem which I suppose would give me the chance to get ahead of him but you never think like that as a footballer. Everyone´s suffered injuries and no-one would wish one on another player. I´ve had ankle problems this year so I know how frustrating it is to miss games, Rickie´s a big player for Bristol Rovers so I hope for them that the problem´s nothing serious.

We´re on TV on Saturday evening when we take on Oldham but I don’t think there will be more pressure on us because Sky are there. Every player wants to play well in front of the cameras but we were covered a few weeks ago and about six times last season so we should be used to it.

It´s been nice getting media coverage this season; it´s been a lot more positive than it was last year! Because we´re a big club with a lot of fans we´re bound to get plenty of coverage. Last year it was because we were doing badly but thankfully this year it´s because we´ve been doing so well and long may it continue.
